The last night

This is a pic that Brett took of us on Sunday night, and also a picture of the Education sign at Radford. Tomorrow will be my last day at Radford on campus, and TONIGHT is my last night of studying until January 20. I went and seen Nanny & Paw Paw today, and my gradma Chesnut. ( should have been home studying all day, but I am just now getting started! I have a LOOONNNNG night ahead of me. Yep.. Call me Mrs. Procrastination! I am hoping to finish well. I know that I have a "B" in my Introduction to Professional Education. I was a little dissapointed, but it's OK. This was my first round in a real college, so I will excuse myself for the B! Anyway! Let me get busy!

Update on Keith & Concert

Thank You to EVERYONE who has asked, called, and visited Keith.
He is doing much better. He moved to the step-down unit yesterday,
and will be released tomorrow.
THANK YOU for your prayers and concern!
Mom & Keith are surrounded by great friends and family.

ALSO... The concert went GREAT. Since Dennis and I both are in the choir, I could not take any pictures of the two nights. I can hardly believe that it is already over!
It was the highlight of the Christmas season for us.
Thanks to my Dad, Sheila, Greg, Bethany, Paul, Jill, Katlyn, Roy & Marie,
Amanda and her family, Mom, and Tommy for coming to our performance to see the Great Lord Jesus proclaimed above else!
(Maybe if someone has some pics, I might steal them so you can see!)

OH AND TWO DAYS LEFT OF SCHOOL! HOORAY!

Keith Had a Heart attack....

MOM SAYS THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS CALLED, VISITED, AND HELPED.
SHE HAS REALLY FELT YOUR LOVE AND COMPASSION IN THIS SCARY TIME.
THANK YOU!

Keith had a heart attack lastnight.
I met my mom and Greg at the hospital lastnight at 11:30.
He had a 100% bloackage in his main heart valve.
He had a stint put in, and is doing well.
I pray that God be glorified in this.
He already has.
Please pray for him.
He won't be eating at MacDonalds much anymore!
I couldn't resist the picture...

It always catches up with me eventually

Dennis and I have hoped for the past year and a half that we would become pregnant, and have a family one day. Obviously, God has not opened my womb and he has not seen fit to make us parents yet. I deal with this often, and I cry sometimes. Being back in school has really kept me busy, and I have not really thought about it lately. I am currently trying to correct the problem, but I try to not allow that desire to dominate my life; but every now and then the desire to be a mother creeps up on me, and I fall apart because I don't know what God has planned; fearing that he does not have this in our future. Reading a friends blog, this was on there. So I blame her for my midnight break down! Now I am good for another month! Thanks, Jess!
This song displays what's in my heart in words! Enjoy!

Anybody Miss Application Mondays??? I do!

I was in a pretty good routine of getting some great application on here on Mondays, but somehow got out of the habit. Well, even though it is Tuesday, we could get back on track today!!! Let's call it Teachable Tuesdays!!! :)

Today is a marital piece. Dennis and I are supposed to be reading "When Sinners Say I do"

Well, as I was skimming this morning figuring out where Dennis has left off, I started to read.I gotta be honest, I have not been reading like I should have... I am looking forward to a break from school so that I can spend some time in God's word and allow myself to fall back in love with him again. Time has been an issue lately. I am even considering giving the blog up for a week so that I can reevaluate the way that I spend my time. Pray for me on this.

So ONE powerful application thought on this Tuesday:

If we love our husband/wife....Why do we find it so easy to treat him/her like we don't?

I am going to be in prayer about this matter today. I encourage you to evaluate your heart on this matter as well.

THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: It's the Christmas season.

Now that we have our Christmas tree and our decorations up...
It is officially the start of the Christmas season.
Sorry for holding everyone up... but we moved as fast as we could....
I have a slightly sappy story to tell.
This is MY baby Christmas ornament.
My birthday is the day after Christmas... and
this is an ornament that has been up on my tree since...
Isn't she cute, holding the boots so close to her body???
Below is Dennis' baby ornament!
This ornament has been on his tree since he was a small boy. .

Anyone notice any similarities between the two photos???
Yep! You guessed it: We both have boots in them.
Whenever I am unsure if Dennis is my soul mate, I think about these ornaments..
(Just Kidding.. but it sure does make Christmas special when we pull these neat ornaments out each year)
We love Christmas... I love it for traditions and sweet things we do each year.
Some other "traditions" we have:

Dennis gets me an ornament each year.
This is labeled Christmas 2007 (last year) He got me a toaster because
it was the year that I started to really cook...

This is the first married year married ornament. I think that my mom
got me this one....
The year before the toaster, I recieved this one on Christmas Day (2006)
Of course we have some mistletoe up every year...
Can't have Christmas without that...

This is my table this year. I really love it.
I have enjoyed decorating. .
now it's shopping...
Hmm...

My Wake Up CAll

My Honey calls me this morning about 9:00 a.m.
Anyone that knows me is assured that I am in bed at 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning.
"Honey, I need you to come pick me up.. I think my car has broken down"
Still disoriented from being asleep, I go ahead and get up and get into the phone book
like he asked me to do to look up a towing company for him.
I find it in the yellow pages, and then he says:
"Oh, I already had it programmed in my phone."
So Then I decide that I should get dressed and leave to go get my cold, sweaty man
and rescue him from the cold.
He says: "Oh, by the way... I took your keys this morning because I couldn't find mine, so you will have to look for my keys, before you will be able to leave the house..."
Trying not to get annoyed.. I say: Alright, and together we brainstormed his tracks lastningt as I follow them.
Upstairs in the bedroom,
in his pants pockets,
downstairs near the woodstove,
in the recliner,
in the mailbox,
in the grass......
lunchox,
refrigerator, (yes, I did that once)
NOTHING.... even after looking over the entire house....
"Well. I guess I gotta call Les to pick me up...."
"Or the tow truck can bring me home.." he says.
After getting off of the phone I continue for my quest to find keys.
We are going to need them at some point...
but I found nothing...
About 20 minutes later Dennis comes home with the tow truck man...

So, they drop the car off...
Dennis gets out of the truck and in his hands he holds:
Both set of Keys!!!

Yes, that is right... TWO SETS OF KEYS....
So ALL of my efforts to save the day were pointless because my husband had
EVERYTHING he needed this morning, and did not need my help at all.
Good thing is: I am out of bed, and getting ready to clean my house.
Date night for us tonight!
Scrooge and dinner.
YES!
