Longing………..

 

………for the beach………..

it's that time of the year when I get really anxious to be near the water, the gritty sand, the hot pavement under my feet, the beach shops, the seafood restaurants, and the warmth left on my skin at the end of a beach day. It's when I long for the breeze in my hair, the romance in the air, his hand in mine, the night music you can hear from blocks away, and fireworks. I am really longing for it…….

Thursday & Friday!Goodbye Villages!

    

 

Well, today has been a very good day, yesterday was good, the ENTIRE trip was great. I was very glad to be here and benefited greatly from the time of relaxation!

 

Yesterday at the pool Betty spotted this bird that was eating this lizard! It was gross.. but the bird was in no hurry to swallow him. I had time to take this picture.

 

I had some fun taking pictures of Betty swimming.

 

I am ready for another round of a picture worth a thousand words!

  

Please take look at MY side of table: a water bottle to spray down the annoying love bugs, and to cool me down when I got hot.. sunscreen because my skin cannot take the full force of the sun, and IPOD that I borrowed because I am too cheap to purchase one, and my phone, and two books! A rather non-fiction read to say the least.

 

Then we have Betty’s side of the table. Tanning OIL because she can take in the full force of the sun… or well, sort of……

Today, Friday, we ventured to the other square. Two directionally challenged girls, out on the golf cart.. living on the wild side.

Wednesday

Hey there! I hope that you all are having a great day today! I am really having a nice day of relaxation! Today was nice.

Please enjoy life from my view lately! I put my sunglasses over my camera phone and took the picture. . :) Mr.Canon stayed at the house today!

 

I am reading “What is Reformed Theology” by R.C. Sproul and it is knocking my sunglasses off! I mean, it’s a great book!! WOW-

I cannot wait to sit down and write all of the neat things I am learning. I am perplexed by the Canon of Scripture! Maybe I will be asking some of you some questions!

Welcome Betty!

 Well, Betty got here! She had a little bit of a hard time, but she finally got here!

 

We went to the square tonight and walked around, got ice cream and bought my favorite kind of popcorn- kettle corn!

I am thankful to have the time away! I am grateful that Betty got to come down and share in the fun with me. The week is moving so slowly, which is good, but it feels like it will be forever till I get to see my husband! Love him for me back home!

Day Two-

 It has been a nice time so far. I mentioned to some of you that I had gathered a bunch of books-

and Might be wondering how come these blog pages are not full of things I have been reading.. It is coming! I have been reading a lot, but I am still thinking on it all, but it is coming.. So… scroll on down and be sure to check out the day two legs that I had pamper today..

 

Judy and I went on a long little ride today on the golf cart, but I did not bring my camera, so you missed the tour.. sorry! :)

 

 

Yesterday I burned my legs WITH sunscreen on in less than 2 hours…. ouchy….. so today I had to wear pants outside to keep them protected! :)

So, day three legs will look the same tomorrow! :)

Boy I got up this morning and I was hoping that it absorbed over night, but I was still bright pink today!

Anyway-

Dear Husband...

dear husband.

I wanted to write you a note and tell you that I am going to miss snuggling with you tonight. I am going to miss hearing you wake up and suddenly freak out like you do every night.. and say: "Oh CRAP!" "I forgot to set my alarm..
then open your phone, see that you actually set it, then snuggle your head back into your pillow, and then go back to sleep.

Don't forget your mouth guard. I won' be there to get up and get it for you!

These are pictures of mom, keith, and greg getting home from Las Vegas!! It worked out perfect because they got in just in time for me to hug them and then get on my plane!!

 

 

 

I was SOO glad that I got to see them home safe before I took off to Florida.

 

I had an amazing flight. It took me a couple minutes to relax, but I did. I had a partner. He is getting married in a couple weeks.

 

It completely baffled me that there are people that can sit on that plane for an hour and a half and NEVER look out the window!!!!

 

I was hoping that God would show me his glory, and he did! He was faithful.

Richie & Judy picked me up and we made it home in about as much time as it took me to get to Florida! (its crazy)

Going to The Villages

It’s Wednesday and I only have 2 more days to go until I leave for my get away.. Party of 1.

I am super excited to have a few days by the pool, doing nothing but breathing all day… of course I am packing up all of my good books, my Holy Bible, the Pleasures of God by Piper, What is Reformed Theology and whatever else I can find in the library tonight.. all on top of an IPOD packed with worship songs from church that Shannon Maxey generously let me borrow!!! Thank You Shannon & Samantha!!! :)

I have two more exams this week, and then I will be done.

Friends, my husband will be here all alone and will be missing me.. please have him over to your house and feed him your scraps… :) He will enjoy anything. Really!

Oh, and I am seeing all your poll responses and I am currently trying to get him to write a post.. I am hoping that he will be coming up with something very soon…

As for blogging some of you have asked me if I will be keeping this up while I am gone.. answer is YES!! YES! YES!! I will be.. but it may look different because I use something on my computer to transfer pictures, and can watermark them etc, and unless I download that on their computer, my posts won’t look like normal.. so we will see…..

..AND.. I have been wanting someone to drop what they were doing and come with me to Florida.. not any of you could drop your life and go… BUT… I am THINKIN’ that maybe my friend Betty will be able to fly down.. but I am not sure… she does not know yet either… we will see… but if she cannot, I will be just fine sitting at the pool.. reading and listening to music.

Although I have not started relaxing from the hustle and bustle from school the past 4 months, I am seeing warm water at the end of the tunnel… and that is good… really good. . 

I think 6 days is a little long, but its the way that the airport schedule worked out that keeps me away for an awesome price! $29.00 per way..

My flight does not get me back in Roanoke until 4:00! So… if you show up at 3:00- party hard ALONE.. because Dennis will be picking me up from the airport!

(this party is for our Sunday School Class- )Children are WELCOME. Bring em’ on.. and bring a dish.. we are having hot dogs and hamburgers!! Dennis is doing the shopping in my absence.. So please call or email me and let me know if you will be coming so I can direct him properly! It is important!

I need a loan…..

 

Does anyone have one I could borrow for a week??

                   

I am leaving on Saturday and I will quite possibly have to ride on a plane and sit by the pool for many hours without anything to listen to… and I don’t own a MP3 player, or ipod… so I was wondering… anyone trust me enough to loan it to me for a week?? It does not have to be one of these… but something close.. packed with tons of great worship music and/or sermons! Anyone?????

Sunday Race! and some Dinner LATER.

Well I am back home! Sure does feel nice to be back home in my own bed. I sure did miss Dennis while I was away! But I always like having a couple days away because we always realize how much we really do love and miss each other! I guess, I'm in love! Okay, Okay enough of the mushy stuff.

To the race... it was HOTT! Wow. I have never sweat so much in my life. It was a beautiful day, though. In light of the last Wednesday night sermon when he preached on worshipping with your entire mind and body.. I was really trying to find a way to worship at a NASCAR race. I was having a little trouble! So I discovered that I could sing some of my favorite worship songs at the top of my lungs, and NO ONE heard me!!! It was fabulous. So I did that the most of the race. It was great. So..... here are some photos!





HERE IS ANOTHER STORY.....
We went to McDonald's for dinner after the race. It was a mad house. There were tons of people there, and the staff was rude, rude, rude....... and the food was slow.....

So slow........... that we waited for 45 minutes.... to get food...

Keith was very happy to get his fish sandwich...

Thank You very much Keith and Mom for everything this weekend. Gary, you were a great date, and I thank you for everything as well. It was fun kids, but I am glad to be back home.
