Canon can make Groceries Beautiful!

Today I had a busy day.. I went to the grocery store and stocked up all the things that we have been needing. I took some photos of them when I unloaded them at home! But the POINT of tonight's post is because I have taught myself to knit by watching YouTube videos over and over. I am still getting the hang of it.

 

 

This is the yarn. I think I bought TOO big of needles. As a gift to my Nanny, I bought her knitting needles. She taught me how to crochet, and I plan to teach her to knit... as soon as I learn how anyway!

I promise that the random pictures just playing with the camera will end soon enough.... it is a lot of work to post pictures of Vegetable oil! :) Just bear with me, I am still fascinated by new toy!

I have given into the Facebook Phenomenon! I set up an account a LONG time ago, and NEVER used it because I thought that it was hard. So, I don't know how long I am going to hang in there but we will see. As I type, another friend invite!! Ok! Crystal I will be your friend!!!

Honey.. How Close Are We To The Beach?!?!?

First and Foremost:

I want to say that We are home safely!

(It was a definite act of grace that God poured upon us abundantly I might add)

and that It feels good to be back to my stinky (still) home...

with all of its numerous amenities!

So to wrap up our Thanksgiving week and get back into the boring and mundane I must report of our drive back home!

On our way home... not knowing how closely I-95 ran to the coast: I ask my husband:

Are we in the middle of the state (Georgia) or are we say... near the coast???

He says: 'Near the coast!"

I say: "Think we could go to the beach???"

Thinking he would say "NO!"

he says with a little hesitation and a hopeful "just kidding" on my part

"You wanna go to the beach?"

and I say "Uh-Huh!"

You must understand that Dennis and I are "on-the-road-travelers,-bring-a-cup-to-pee-in cause-we-ain't-stoppin-kinda-people"
The beach was a stretch of the imagination

Giving me a couple of miles to really think about it he says:

"Are you sure you wanna go to the beach??"

I say: "yEs!"

So he takes the very next exit.

I said:

"Do you even know where you are going?"

he says: "I say that as long as we go east far enough we should run into the beach"

Gladly taking his word for it I just search for signs of water all around.

It was here somewhere.. boats were in yards and every store was named:

"Sea Breeze" or "Coastal.."

I felt that we were near water.

We were!!! We ended up at a naval base. Not exactly what I had in mind but it was beautiful anyway.

We hit rain in South Carolina and we stayed in it steady all the way to the driveway!

It was THE LONGEST trip but its over and we are happy to be home!

Thoughts....& Piercing Update.

This is how God blesses my husband on a daily basis: He sends him out into his great country and displays this kind of beauty for him to enjoy! Dennis loves sunsets. Any picture on our computer was taken by Dennis if it has a sunset on it. Here is yet another. Very beautiful!!

Man, I have never had so much reader feedback over my posting about a nose piercing. Some of you have written and said: "Go for it!" others have said: "It's not worth it" others have strongly said: "No way" and you all know which one you fall under! :) Thank you so much for your feedback. I appreciate that you guys love me enough to give me your opinion. Although, I probably should have really thought it out a little more before posting that THOUGHT, I am glad that I know how everyone feels. This will be one of these things that I really want to do, but most likely wont. (Unless Dennis gives me his approval, I wont be doing it) I want to be submissive to my husband and to God. and I am not really sure about it, and there are so many ways to look at it. So.... I guess today I am officially putting this to rest: I won't get a nose peiricng. (unless dennis takes me to get it). I dont have solid reasons for not doing it, and I dont have solid reasons for wanting to.. so I just wont! Thanks for all of your feedback.

We will be going away for the weekend to Gatlinburg, so I will posting those photos when we get back on Sunday! See you later Blog world, I will miss you!!!!!

Nose Piercing! Can I??

Ok, Ok.. I have been gettin pretty deep here the past couple of log ins! I just have really wanted to glorify God in ALL that I do, even blogging. So, that has been the aim.. but it does not need to be EVERY blog, right?....
Although, If you didn't read my blog from Sunday you need to do that, and if there is someone that really needs to read that Gospel, you may click that little envelope underneath that blog so that you can email that particular blog to a friend. ..... So.. for some comic relief.....

Since I started back up with school, I have wanted to get a nose peircing REALLY BAD! I talked to Dennis about it, and he was really apprehensive, so I dropped it... Well, then my friend Jody... got one!!!! And I am sooooo envious! It is so cute on her, and I have been resparked of the want.

I'm hoping that Dennis will take me to the tattoo shop and let me do it!

Anyone want to be the one to encourage him??????
