New Computer

Hey Everyone! I bought a new computer today.. I have A LOT of catching up and moving around and reinstalling and things to do, but I have a really great ski trip to report with pictures.. but just not quite yet... believe it or not there are more pressing things on the table right now than my blog! Check back soon....

computer is down. i went to the computer man today and my computer is near death..... he wont let me on it until we purchase a new one.... so i am making this post from my cell phone.... today we r going snow tubing and then hopefully sunday we can start shopping for something... no posts.... at least not until a new computer purchase.... stay tuned... dont. abandon me.

I CANNOT STAND THE 700 CLUB!

I CANNOT stand the 700 Club. And TODAY I had it topped off for sure that I do not like, do not support, cannot stand, wish it didn't exist!! It is a TERRIBLE TV show under the label: "Christian television" MY FOOT!!

The thing that gets me is that they have this news section that this other character reports, and then they flash the camera to brilliant ol' Pat Robertson that gives his worthless two cents.. and he talks politics and fixes the worlds problems... why isn't HE president???? His voice even grates on my nerves. I would rather watch Lamb chops "The song that never ends" than hear his annoying voice.. but ANYWAY!..... so they have this political bit that relates NOTHING to Jesus... BUT TODAY... TODAY........ Can you believe this.... TODAY... I walked into Pat & Mia's and the 700 club is on. One of the members, I think the son, that does the show sometimes started to lead people in prayer.

No joking this is what he said:

with a fake squinty eye, he says: "Jesus, IF YOU ARE REAL.... PLEASE COME INTO MY HEART!"

Are you kidding me??? IF YOU ARE REAL!!!!

THAT DID IT FOR ME! I don't know about you, but that makes me MAD.
I know that A LOT of people like the stories or testimonies on there, and that is fine... but I CANNOT AND WILL NOT support a "CHRISTIAN" Tv show that starts a prayer out like: "Jesus IF you are REAL!" C'mon, people!

Keith Had a Heart attack....

Keith had a heart attack lastnight.
I met my mom and Greg at the hospital lastnight at 11:30.
He had a 100% bloackage in his main heart valve.
He had a stint put in, and is doing well.
I pray that God be glorified in this.
He already has.
Please pray for him.
He won't be eating at MacDonalds much anymore!

Which is worse STINKING all day? OR.. BEING COLD?

I'll take stinking!

Many of you have heard the complaints for the past 3 winters! I dislike wood stoves because I strongly strongly dislike the smell of wood stove smoke! Well, I have been helping Dennis keep the fire going by putting wood in it and keeping it up to heat our house. The wood stove is downstairs. We don't have access to our downstairs in our house. We have to go OUTSIDE to go down. Well, over the past two years this wood stove has evolved. It used to be a simple concept to this big extravagant deal requiring more than I personally think that it's worth!

Well, thinking that we had this whole thing figured out, we had our first big smoke out tonight!!! I was certain that it was inevitable at some point. I remember last year Dennis said: Honey, I have figured it out! It is not going to happen this year! I woke up that morning hardly able to see, much less breath. Our house was filled in thick STINKY smoke! Well... this year it happened when neither of us were home! Yep! I got the fire going really good, turned on the fan that sucks up the heat from our basement to spread through our house, locked the door and went to church! Dennis calls me about 10:15 when I am at the Shaffer's and asks me what kind of wood that I put in the stove! Well, turns out that the fire was not hot enough, and the dampers were open and smoke had no where to go but out, and the fan sucked it up into the house! How would I know that the FIRE was not HOT enough?!?! It FIRE!!

He opens up all the windows... lights candles... febreezes everything. I walk in around 11:30 pm. and sure enough!!! We officially smell like SMOKE! URRR! AND IT WON"T GET OUT OF MY NOSE.. I mean it is very strong! You don't know how annoyed I am! This requires washing everything we own, and srubbing the house down! The spoiled brat in me complains about this but the humble in me thanks the Lord that I have heat in these very cold days.... I may stink, and you may have to smell me and endure it for a period of time, but hey... I am warm!

Ok, So America did not agree...

America apparently didn't read my blog before they went out and cast their votes, and Barack Obama is now our President-elect! A good friend sent us an email, and I love it.

A friend stated just last night that God is in control and has a plan and an end, and if it involves Barack Obama, how could be possibly be angry at that?

God is sovereign, and he rules over all, and he always works things out for the good of people that believe, trust and hope in him!

Let's not forget that Barack Obama is not too hard for God to save.

He is not too wretched, or too sinful, or even too democratic.

He saved you and me didn't he?

Let's be in fervent prayer for our new president!

I made the mistake in our Monday night bible study of bragging to my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ that I had the immunity of a King! I would NOT be getting sick.. and you know what?
I woke the very next morning with a COLD! Yes, I did! It was not a terrible cold, but it still prevented me from breathing normally, and sleeping in bed with my husband due to blowing my nose all night long! So. . Tuesday I was home working on school work in my jammies on the couch watching Television all day.. yes, ALL Day! But today I was back at it. Still stuffy, but feeling better!

Hospital News...

I got a call yesterday from my dad...

and My grandfather, (my dads dad), Myles, is in the hospital.

He had some trouble breathing, and they took him to the hospital to find out that

he was having some heart issues, and needed to be sent to Lewis Gale.

They brought him to Lewis Gale, and they put a pacemaker in

this morning. He came out of the surgery fine, and doing well.

Although, the situation was a serious one,

I am glad to be able to see my family here!!!

We took Shirley to dinner lastnight, and brought her to see my home for the first time!

We had a great time with her. I am sure that she was glad to get away from that hospital, too!

I am going to go to the hospital in a little while,

maybe I sneak a pic of my great grandmother....

she is cute, but she is FIESTY!

Anyway, if you could just keep my grandfather's soul in your prayers,

He is not saved, and he is well aware... he wants nothing to do with God or those preacher people!
