The First post about Sex!!

 

Can you believe it? Those of you that know me, I mean really know me, might find it ironic that exactly 208 posts since the debut of “The Maggi Two”  back in July, that I am JUST getting around to talking about sex!! :) Hang on tight ladies….. You need to hear this!

From the book of course, I give you the more eloquent words of Carolyn Mahaney!

“Gods grand design is that a husband and wife unabashedly enjoy sexual union within marriage, for His glory.” But because we are fallen man and women, sin has interrupted this beautiful union.

As husband and wife, we belong entirely and unreservedly to each other—my body is his possession, and his body is mine. We are to give ourselves without qualification and not withhold the pleasure of sex. The only exception to this rule is for the activity of prayer and then by only mutual agreement and for a limited time. 

As wives, we must heed this abomination and offer no excuses. One man has observed, “I’ve heard many excuses for not having sex- not in  the mood, headache, too tired, don’t have time. Prayer and fasting has never been one of them! :)

When we choose to obey God and give our bodies to our husbands- even if we don’t feel like it- God will reward us with pleasure.

One of the greatest gifts a person

can give his or her mate in marriage

is exclusive and exciting sex!

Young Love is so refreshing…

 

 

Last night we went to Molly & Jacobs wedding!

It was such a nice treat for us. I sort of forgot that two people can be so in love that they cannot wipe the smile of their face, they cannot quit looking at the person, and two minutes away, is two minutes too long….

But I guess that is what wedding days are for…..

I love the newly married feeling! the feeling of: “I cannot wait to go home and fold your underwear!” or “I can sign my check, Mrs… such an such!” Yep… I remember it. I cannot believe that I could not wait to go home and get busy being a wife… now, I can barely find the motivation.

I thought I would make a great wife… and I was so excited. I am a good wife, but sometimes I lack in the areas that counts in Dennis’ book.

He really loves a clean house, and I really love to do it when I feel like it… not because he does. . . :)

We are newly married if you look at the big picture, but not one day old… and I kind of like this spot, its a very sweet time, but it has definetely sunken into reality. We can go two minutes without kissing each other!!! :)

We pray that God would be heavily glorified in their marriage, and that underwear would always be neatly folded and put away.. not waiting one whole week on top of the dryer!!!

Remember those pretty pictures from yesterdays post? And do you have any experience with how finicky flies are? Well it turns out that Mr. Canon even stops a fly in its tracks! Yep, that is right!

I did NOT, until Dennis said something!!! Hmm….

Our yard is alive and well!

 

Our yard is looking great!! Dennis takes GREAT care of our lawn and flowers, and plants! So take a look at what God is raising alive, and give Dennis a hand for a green thumb!                  

I hope you enjoyed the beautiful scenery this beautiful day in April… I think that I hear more thunder storms!!!! :(

No words to defend our sin….

 

Remember that devotional I mentioned? Well here is another amazing excerpt from April 2. Dennis woke me up this morning to read this to me.

 

Jesus had never been slow to speak when He could bless someone, but in order to save Himself, He would not say a single word. “No one ever spoke the way this man does, the guards declared.” (John 7:46)- and no one was ever SILENT like HE was!

Was his exceptional silence the very sign of His perfect self-sacrifice? Did it show He would not utter one word to stop the slaughter of His sacred person, which He had dedicated as an offering for us? Had he so entirely surrendered Himself he would not intervene on His own behalf even to the slightest degree? Instead of intervening, was HE willing to be bound and slain as an unstruggling and uncomplaining victim?

WAS HIS SILENCE DESIGNED TO SHOW US THERE WAS NO DEFENSE FOR OUR SIN?

 

After all, what words could ever be said that could cover or excuse human guilt? Thus, He took the total weight for our sin upon Himself and stood speechless before His judge. isn't patient silence the best reply to an accusing world that continually denies its own sin? And doesn't calm endurance answer  some questions infinitely more conclusively than even the loftiest eloquence of worlds?

 

 

By His silence our Lord also provided a remarkable fulfillment of prophecy. A long defense of Himself would have been contrary to Isaiah’s foretelling- “He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, by His quiet submission  he conclusively proved Himself to be the true Lamb of God.

Some Sad News….
