Happy Birthday PawPaw

A lot of my favorite childhood memories have him in them. I remember when we would visit, and he would allow us to make “pancakes.” Only these were very special pancakes. These pancakes tasted like garbage, and it was because he let us put WHATEVER ingredients we wanted in this mix to be poured and cooked like a pancake! ;) It was the funnest of times.

PawPaw would make us lunch EVERY DAY during the summers that we would stay while mom worked. He would bring us salmon cakes, or chicken noodles soup, or whatever… while we watched “I Love Lucy” on Channel 7 right before the 12 o’clock news! He was so special, and he still is.

He was the best cook… he would stay up really late at night and make my uncle William dinner after working at a restaurant all evening! He would make him chicken nuggets.. THE BEST chicken nuggets that you would ever eat, EVER.  Then he would go to bed and wake early! PawPaw is so special to me. I have been blessed with many grandparents that are luckily still here with us, including him.

Today he is 83 years old! Another detail about PawPaw:

He HATES pictures… but little does he know that I have a bunch of GREAT pictures of him. I took them right in front of him very sneakily, and he never knew… I guess PawPaw if you are reading, you will see that I got You!

I love You- Happy Birthday!

Your hands are so beautiful & So Special
