Ok, so, I am not sure what has happened to me, but it seems as if I woke up one morning…crafty. For a recent bridal shower, I thought that the perfect gift would be a home made recipe book for the new bride-to-be.
1. I took 3 pieces of cardstock and I used a sewing machine to sew all the sides together. You can see the blue stitching if you look close enough.
2. I used a cricut expression to cut out some letters and different shapes to use on each page. I also bought some things from JoAnn Fabric & Crafts and used them to decorate each page. Each page had a theme.
As you can see below, I used the cricut to cut out the apple, the tag, the 5 cent, and the word “fresh”
3. I bought ribbon with a self adhesive sticker on the back which eliminated gluing. I used it to add a little decoration to the bottoms, tops, or edges of the pages.
This scrapbook is approximately a 5 inch by 5 inch book.
I thought that it would be neat to include a family favorite from each family to bond them together as a newly married couple.
I punched holes in the sides, and added binder rings.
I also used raised foam stickers to add extra effect. I really hope Lauren likes this as an imperfect, yet home made gift. I am willing to make these for you as a personal keepsake, or to give as a gift for a friend. Get in touch with me and we will talk about it. :- )
