Daniel climbs now.
I can’t say I have ever seen a cuter pair of filthy feet. Or a cuter little set of love handles for that matter.

Are you afraid of not being able to endure to the end after having thought of yourself as a child of God? Do you hear, even as a child of His, that ultimately you will be proven nothing but an outcast? Is that is your fear take this word of grace to His throne and plead it: “Though the mountains be shaken and the the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed.” (Isa 54:10).
If you have lost the sweet sense of the Savior's presence and are seeking Him with a sorrowful heart, remember these promises: “Return to me, and I will return to you” (Mal 3:7) and “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back” (Isa 54L7) Whatever your fears or wants, feast your faith on God’s own words. Then return to the Bank of Faith with check signed by your Father’s own hand, saying to Him” Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.”
We received an email from our youth pastor the other day from a book entitled: “What did you expect” by Tedd Tripp. It was a list of 22 ways to show love every day. I thought that I would share one with you today that I have found encouraging.
20. Love is being unwilling to make any personal decision or choice that would harm your marriage, hurt your husband or wife, or weaken the bond of trust between you.
We took Daniel to see Bekka today for his very first hair cut! I was VERY nervous that he was NOT going to let her do anything to him.
……….but I wasted my time worrying. He was fantastic for her!
If I wasn’t so busy taking photos, I think I could have shed a half tear or two!
Thanks to daddy for his support. I have been really grateful for Dennis’ temporary shift the past few weeks (3am-11am) he has been able to do a lot with us during the day! Thanks Bekka for a great boy haircut!
is the place where any kid, can be a kid……even MY small kid! Daniel LOVED riding these toys all evening!!!
Did I mention that our BIGGER kids, can be kids, too?!?! Nathan joined in on this too and smoked Aaron and Dennis if I am not mistaking!
Wonder what they were looking at…. these faces look pretty intense!
It brings me joy to see him having fun. I enjoy the pizza, too!
Also, one more thing:
Chuck E Cheese Skee-Ball for extra Tickets!!
if you click on the link above, you can play skee-ball and earn extra tickets to take with you. You can turn in one page per child. I played a bunch and handed them out to all of Daniel’s friends. It’s actually fun to play even if you are not going to Chuck E’s.
If you know me well at all, you know that I am really looking forward to educating our son one day! Although his time of structured learning is a good bit away, I am really looking ahead and planning some things and collecting some ideas. As a gift, one of closest friends, Lindsey, blessed me with this book for early learners. The target ‘start’ age is four. Each chapter breaks some ‘goals’ up such as the picture below:
And then it has a story to go after it with letters highlighted in red so that the child can start to read God’s word on their own. I have not tested this out yet, of course, but since this gift came from a homeschooling mommy, I trust that it is beneficial for their learning!
Another great book that Daniel and I read OFTEN is a book called “Fool Moon Rising” This book was also given as a gift from Lisa. (What would I do without friends?) I am absolutely IN LOVE with this book and I am struck in awe each time I read it.
Daniel loves it because it has great illustrations and it has a very flowy, catchy, rhythm to the reading. I truly recommend this book for ANY age, even 26! :- )
Saturday Dennis made some special time for us to go to Green Hill park and fly a kite! We really enjoyed our picnic lunch and our time together! The day was perfect for our kite!
Our kite made it up really high!!!! It was really neat to feel the force of the wind on our red handle that keeps the string.
Daniel was oblivious to what was happening above his head, but he was very attentive to the small creatures that were closest to him.
We met this little caterpillar and I enjoyed watching one of the first signs of what being a true boy means: playing with bugs! Ick!!!
We had a great Saturday together as a family!
Friday I was able to spend a lot of time with friends, and Daniel was able to have a full day of playing with extra friends, too. Cyrstal needed someone to step in and and watch her girls, and I volunteered! Of course Kolton was with us, too.
Cohen stayed busy with this 35 year old car carrier.
Daniel plays with his daddy’s old toys outside ALL of the time. He LOVES them! They are outside’s special toys!
Chandler was instigating some first kisses amongst her baby sister and Caleb!
Daniel wanted to be a gentleman and push Sophie around the house. . and she reservedly let him although she would have rather been left alone.
So sweet to see him playing with another little girl like this.
