I had an opportunity to FINALLY use some of our garden ingredients to cook a meal. Tonight I made spaghetti, but I wanted to spruce it up with some fresh ingredients. So first, I took two tomatoes and cut them up and added it to some chopped onions.
Next I went outside, and found the perfect green pepper.
Chopped it up, and added it to the mix.
Then I went outside and took two stems of fresh basil to add to the sauce.
Viola!
When you cannot make FULLY homemade sauce, it never hurts to add a little bit of fresh to it to make it taste better.
I am taking this little guy away with me for a week to Ocean City, MD to spend time with his Mammie, and extended family. I will not be able to blog, but I will fill everyone in on pictures when I get back in a week!
