Baby Daniel Update. 28 week

IMG_3788

This week I went to the dr. for my 28 week check-up. I had my glucose test done. I do not know the results as of yet, but I should know something by Monday. We had another ultrasound done to check his little kidneys. One kidney looks normal, and the other kidney is still a little dilated. The doctor does not seem concerned in the least, but I always wonder if I will be that "case" of un-normalcy! :) Our Sovereign Lord only knows! :)

Everything else looks good. Our Daniel's little big head is measuring a full two weeks LARGER than he is gestationally! I joked with Dennis that he has already inherited his head.

He is moving around A LOT now. He is mostly active in the mornings and at night. I feel him some during the day but either he is taking long naps or I am too busy to notice. His movements are no longer subtle or able to confuse me, I know when it's him. In church I often see my belly protrude out with his rolls, and movements. Some days it feels as if I cannot get a break from the constant situating he is doing! :)

His weight is about 2.5 pounds. Seems so little, but when I think back on my little blueberry as I called him in the beginning 2.5 pounds hardly seems small! :)

I am feeling MOSTLY good. I am STILL having trouble sleeping at night. I am tossing/turning and unable to sleep through the night. Some nights I am up doing photography work or whatever. I don't usually mind it but some days, like today, it just becomes overwhelming having a constant feeling of unrest physically. Some other moms I know and love tell me to toughen up and get ready for the long haul. I am certainly trying but I guess it is one of them things that only can be learned through real experience.

My weight is still on the lower end of gaining. I have gained 7 pounds. My doctor is not concerned about that. I did not start out itty bitty so for me to maintain my weight, I am not missing any meals. My docs words. :) bless him.

OVERALL, this is a sweet experience that I already looking forward to enjoying again one day if the Lord wills, but if not, and Daniel is our only little blessing, than I will cherish and love this time of his growing within.

Thanks for listening guys! Love you ALL.
