My Honey calls me this morning about 9:00 a.m.
Anyone that knows me is assured that I am in bed at 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning.
"Honey, I need you to come pick me up.. I think my car has broken down"
Still disoriented from being asleep, I go ahead and get up and get into the phone book
like he asked me to do to look up a towing company for him.
I find it in the yellow pages, and then he says:
"Oh, I already had it programmed in my phone."
So Then I decide that I should get dressed and leave to go get my cold, sweaty man
and rescue him from the cold.
He says: "Oh, by the way... I took your keys this morning because I couldn't find mine, so you will have to look for my keys, before you will be able to leave the house..."
Trying not to get annoyed.. I say: Alright, and together we brainstormed his tracks lastningt as I follow them.
Upstairs in the bedroom,
in his pants pockets,
downstairs near the woodstove,
in the recliner,
in the mailbox,
in the grass......
lunchox,
refrigerator, (yes, I did that once)
NOTHING.... even after looking over the entire house....
"Well. I guess I gotta call Les to pick me up...."
"Or the tow truck can bring me home.." he says.
After getting off of the phone I continue for my quest to find keys.
We are going to need them at some point...
but I found nothing...
About 20 minutes later Dennis comes home with the tow truck man...

So, they drop the car off...
Dennis gets out of the truck and in his hands he holds:
Both set of Keys!!!

Yes, that is right... TWO SETS OF KEYS....
So ALL of my efforts to save the day were pointless because my husband had
EVERYTHING he needed this morning, and did not need my help at all.
Good thing is: I am out of bed, and getting ready to clean my house.
Date night for us tonight!
Scrooge and dinner.
YES!
