more to come!
but please don’t touch.
(please don’t read too much into this post, it was just a funny photo and seemed like an appropriate caption!)
Lauren and I were enjoying each others company on Monday evening when all of a sudden I heard this rhythmic slapping on the floor…
because our roofing was not yet put on, (remember my post about a lot of noise?)…. we had a leak…
which required a bucket, and some towels. This bucket filled to about 2 inches!
and I will pretend I wasn’t embarrassed that this happened while we had company! :- )
there is a lot of noise here the past two days!
This is a pretty old photo of our house. At least two years old- notice the addition is not yet on the house, and more specifically, we have a tin roof, and a sidewalk.
THIS WEEK…….. we are putting a new front porch on our house. Dennis has pulled up the sidewalk. and it will be just grass. And NEXT WEEK, we are getting a new roof put on, too. It really needs it.
I am not sure how the boys have been taking sound naps, but they sure have managed! Thankful for things new and undeserved.
I am in love with the warm weather we have been having. And unlike this time last year, when Daniel was this big…
….this year he is big enough to go outside and hold his own with his dad.
Amazing what one year will do!!!
[Despite all of the smaller gifts I thought that I deserved yesterday…]
The best gift of all this Mother’s Day is realizing the honor, privilege and high calling to be Daniel’s mother.
I am humbled beyond comprehension that I get to rise to this task every single morning. I am surely in awe of God that he would entrust me to teach this eternal being all of His mighty ways, all the days of his youth. It’s a mighty task.
Equip me, Lord Jesus.

Daniel walks!
(control your volume before playing)
As I type this, it’s been less than 1 hour that Daniel has discovered that he can walk, and in that time, the first order of business was to find something off the floor, bend over, pick it up, and throw it away!
We may be on to something here!
I am back at it! Click on photo to see the rest!
